What Studio RM Workshops Contributed? Young Artists Speak…

The Little Art runs a visual art project “ArtBeat” for children and young people. ArtBeat, which is a national child art competition has evolved into Pakistan’s largest child art program. It gives cash prizes to children, holds the exhibitions of child art and promote the work of the children to other international exhibitions.

As a part of the project this year, R.M. Naeem, one of the most prominent painter and arts teacher of Pakistan, offered art workshops to children selected through ArtBeat. During summer of 2014, Sadaf Naeem led the workshop with 20 selected children.

It is a great honor and moment of pride for us that the renowned and senior artists are coming together to support the next generation of painters from Pakistan.

We are sharing some of the feedback we received from the children who attended the workshop.

“[blockquote color=”#666666″ border_color=”#EEEEEE” bg_color=”#FFFFFF”]It was a very healthy activity to engage the young artists and to gave them exposure. It was a great initiative by The Little Art to facilitate young artists; actually it was more like a talent hunt. During the working professionals told us about the basics of painting and other mediums.

I was not very good in shading before the workshop but I have improved now.
