Putting Arts Management in Action as ATSA 2015 Fellow

We happily share that our Founder and Director Shoaib Iqbal (@schoaib) has been selected as a Fellow in the ArtThinkSouthAsia, a notable Southasian Arts Management program.

The ATSA Fellowship Program in arts management is designed to develop skills, knowledge, networks and experience of potential leaders in the cultural sector of South Asia that includes museums, the visual and performing arts, and digital media. The Fellowship runs over the course of a year, starting with a 2-week residential workshop followed by a 4-week internship or secondment with an institute in selected countries in Europe and South Asia.

ARThinkSouthAsia: Management. Policy. Research is an initiative of the South Asian network of Goethe Institutes – the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany, and The British Council – The United Kingdom’s international organization for cultural relations and educational opportunities, in cooperation with Khoj International Artists’ Association.

It is a programme dedicated to founding a cadre of cultural managers committed to the advancement of capacity building in South Asia. ARThinkSouthAsia (ATSA) believes that by supporting exceptional individuals to make a step-change in their skills and career potential, we can bring substantial benefit to the cultural field as a whole.

We hope that this opportunity will help us as an organization to innovate and grow further with better planning and resource management so we can continue creating learning opportunities for children and youth in Pakistan through the arts.
