The Little Art has initiated a new project of Drama Therapy workshops, in this project we are introducing drama/theatre as process of psychosocial well-being of profiled and special children, the series of workshops are conducting in various community organizations who are either working with street children or special, the primarily objective of this workshop is to use theatre as a process of transformation, therapy and psycho-social well being of the underprivileged children/ mentally challenged children. The workshops have designed to impart some basic theatre skills through games, exercises and improvisation methods with the objective to build creative self and personality development of the street and special children to make them able to carry their life more positively and effectively. It has two major objectives that are as follows:

1- Learning acting Skills ( Games and Exercises, Improvisation and Performance)

2- Creative Self and Personality Development/Social and Emotional growth

Both of the above mentioned objectives will work parallel, the process of learning acting techniques and skills will lead the participants in the development of their Creative self and Personality grooming.

1st Workshop: Progressive Education Network, Gulab Devi Public School. Dates: 19th Dec – 22nd Dec 2012

2nd Workshop: Door of Awareness, Center No 3, Model Town, Lahore Dates: 24th Dec – 28nd Dec 2012

3rd Workshop: Al-Mashal Foundation, Lahore Cantt. Dates: 30th Dec – 04 Jan 2013

4th Workshop: Lahore Language and Speech Centre for Deaf. Gulberg Lahore, Dates: 07th Jan – 12nd Jan 2013

5th Workshop: Fountain House for special Children, Lower Mall, Lahore Dates: 14th Jan – 19th Jan 2013

During this workshop children played various theatre games and exercises and also performed a short play that was based on the theme of Educational Rights of children, all the children were from low socio-economic background as most of them were orphans or working children and The Little Art has given them a wonderful opportunity first time in their life to be on stage and express their creative talent.
