From the seashore of Karachi, to the chilly mountains of Skardu, our 25 exceptional young women are breaking stereotypes while achieving dreams many have not yet dared to have. Think of a room full of children in Lahore, riveted, witnessing the power of storytelling. Now think of girls training for hockey in Jacobabad, in a place free from toxicity, overseen by a woman like themselves. Imagine Baloch girls reading material about feminine hygiene and anatomy in their own language. Now picture girls from far flung areas in the North being taught about science and technology, about their own rights and being given a voice.

As part of the award, The Little Art will produce the following work for the finalists;

• Promotion of their work and projects
• Publishing a book of 25 under 25 stories
• Photo Exhibition of projects
• Award presentation
• Short films for awareness raising

The achievements are astounding. They might all be under twenty-five but there’s no cap on their spirit. They are cycling for interfaith harmony, creating art and films to battle stereotypes. They are aiming for space and advocating STEM; running schools and shaping legislation. We have a comedian who doesn’t shy from topics like abuse and underage marriage, all the more poignant because she is twelve. While at nine, someone is working for the environment by promoting sustainability.

You might find yourself in awe of the resilience and strength these young women possess, or you might marvel at what all they can manage to do in a day. They’re kicking footballs, and writing poetry. They are fighting archaic dogmas and stigmas to make sure the future isn’t like the present. They are focused to give more, do more.
