4th Next Generation Residency Programme for Young Theatre Makers
- ASSITEJ Pakistan


National Centre of International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People (ASSITEJ) Pakistan is calling for applications from young, emerging artists for their fourth theatre residency programme, from 8 to 18 February 2023 in Lahore, Pakistan.

The Next Generation Programme brings about 30 artists together, 15 from Pakistan and 15 international young theatre makers, for 11 days to learn from each other and co-create short performances.

The programme will bring emerging artists together to share, exchange, learn and present. It will have a showcase of projects and works, discussion sessions, development of collaborative performances and performance showcase.

Eligibility
Emerging artist aged 18–35 with a passion for storytelling and theatre-making, along with a track record of making a significant impact in their community or country
Open for International and Pakistani applicants

The programme offers
Shared accommodation for the duration of the programme
Food and logistics
Local transportation
Workshops by eminent performing arts trainers
Platform to network with international theatre community
Collaborative performance with international artists
Cultural tour of Lahore

For Pakistani applicants: 25,000 PKR fee

For International applicants: Participants will manage air travel on their own. ASSITEJ Pakistan will support applicants with the invitation and visa letters upon selection.

The Little Art is a non-profit arts education organisation that works with children and young people through the arts.

ASSITEJ Pakistan – National Centre is a chapter of ASSITEJ International. The organization is a platform for everyone working with or having an interest in performing arts for children and youth. ASSITEJ Pakistan works to spread knowledge of Pakistani performing arts for children and youth by organizing exchanges programs, performances, festivals, workshops and seminars.
