Our work in puppetry is multi-layered. We are developing instructional books and videos for children so they can make puppet with easy materials, training teachers on how to use puppetry in classroom to engage children, and working with caregivers and psychologists to use it in informal education to teach street and marginalized children.

Signs MoU with BNU to raise awareness of RTI Act
The Little Art sings an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Beaconhouse National University (BNU), Lahore, one of the most prominent public sector university in Pakistan, for raising awareness on the Right to Information Act (RTI) Punjab among young people through artistic means such as paintings and short films. The project was implemented in Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan.

RTI Workshop with Youth Parliament, Lahore
The Little Art held a Right to Information (RTI) Act workshop with Youth Parliament on 28th May, holding discussions and dialogue with the Chairman, Abrar-Ul-Haq and the staff of Youth Parliament. Many important concerns from the participants on the role and implantation of the law was raised and the importance of Punjab RTI was brought into focus.

Empowering Young Girls With Creative Expression
Empowering young girls is central to our mission. As part of Summer Camp, we conducted one workshop of creative expression using visual arts with young girls in Govt. High School, Ferozpur Road, Lahore.

Two young people from Pakistan are part of international jury with Isfahan International Children's Film Festival 2014. They will be visiting the Festival next month with TLA delegate.

We are sending the nominations of young artists to Sharjah Art Biennial to participate this year. The nominations are of those children who are selected through ArtBeat - National Child Art Competition and Exhibitions.

We are finalizing the dates of our Lahore International Children's Film Festival now, and will be holding the events in Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad this year. Stay tuned for the big announcements!

The lineup of our wonderful ArtBeat 2014 exhibition is also ready. We have selected the artworks, conducted the Studio RM residency in summers and now moving forward with the exhibitions. The dates will be announced soon.
