Lahore International Children’s Film Festival
The Lahore International Children’s Film Festival is Pakistan’s biggest platform for creating and showcasing the best local and international films made by, for and about children and young people.
The Festival was started in 2007, and has completed its 11 seasons successfully, while reaching to nearly 451,550 audiences comprising of children, youth, parents, film enthusiasts, and film makers.
Aiming at education as well as entertainment, the film festival is dedicated to promote the culture of film watching, media literacy and alternative learning among children and young people. Each year, the festival brings some of the best international and local films to Pakistan to foster imagination, dialogue, understanding and creativity by exploration of world cultures through films.
The festival has an inclusive approach to involve marginalized and less privileged children as its audience as well.
It’s outreach program hosts events in semi-urban and rural areas as well. LICFF has been organized in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Jamshoro, Tando Jam and Bhakkar since its inception.

YOUNG
is a filmmaking competition for young filmmakers, that aim to give students, young and adults an opportunity to showcase their talent in Lahore International Children’s Film Festival and earn recognition while representing their schools, colleges and universities.
Selected best films are presented as part of LICFF each year, made by under 18 and under 25 filmmakers from Pakistan.
