Artbeat 2013 Lahore Exhibition
The project was announced to schools and community organizations across Pakistan, The theme of this year’s ArtBeat was “Me and My Rights”, it was about children and young people. We wanted to hear from children and youth, their voices, what they think about themselves and the times in which they are living in Pakistan – and share their voices through art with the community.
Through this project, we are asking key questions from our children and young people such as;
What do you think about your life?
What do you feel about your family and friends?
How do you see the world you live in?
What is the importance of education and play?
What are your rights and responsibilities?
What you want to be in your future life?
This year around 4000 artworks from 132 schools and 160 individual artists, 25 organizations working with special and profiled children participated in the project from across the country.
