Making of 2019 LICFF Programme

This year we received a large number of submissions 3137 films from 114 countries for 11^th Lahore International Children’s Film Festival (LICFF) 2019.

As we were watching films since past few months to make the first selection for the Festival program, and ofcourse, enjoying the process.

The selection process follows these steps;

Each film submitted to the Festival is seen by at least three selectors. Each selector gives the comments and rate the film.
All the ratings are compiled and the first selection is made, which is being finalized by the Festival Programmer he watches ALL the festival submissions.
The first selection is seen by the Festival Jury for reviews, ratings and awards, the decisions are made by the jury for the final selection list for the Festival season.
The selected films are announced and we reach out to each submission with the results.

The Festival has the following categories, and the graphic shows how many films we have received in each category.

We are excited to share that LICFF is presenting 59 films from 28 countries this year, we will also add licff Young – National filmmaking competition films and LICFF Make films produced by children under 18 years old in a 5 days filmmaking workshop.
