Project Description
NATIONAL CHILD-RIGHT ARTS FESTIVAL
National Children Rights Arts Festival celebrates the rights of the child with their creative engagement, through child-centered activities that not only translate child rights for children but also ensures child participation to raise voice for their rights. It advocates and lobbies for the protection and enforcement of child rights through innovative ways.
The Festival is a celebration of UN-declared “Universal Children’s Day”(20 Nov). The Festival presents a mix of art forms produced by children and young people, such as theatre and mime performances, puppet shows, art exhibition and installations of child art, film screenings and dialogue sessions with policymakers and the public on child rights.
The Little Art conducts workshops with organizations working with street and marginalized children, training their staff on using theatre and puppetry in informal education of children in schools and shelter homes. The work is presented in the Festival on the universal children’s day.
